Pd (II)‐catalyzed vinyl addition polymerization of novel functionalized norbornene bearing dimethyl carboxylate groups

Three novel functionalized polynorbornenes (PNB) with pendant dimethyl carboxylate group (carboxylates—acetate, propionate, and butyrate) are synthesized as a vinyl‐type with a palladium (II) catalyst in high yield. The effects of size of substitutents, molar ratio of monomer to catalyst, solvent polarity, reaction time, and temperature on the polymerization of exo‐norbornene dimethyl propionate were systematically investigated. The low molar ratio and temperature, as well as high polarity of solvent, and long reaction time, are favorable for the enhancement of the monomer conversion, especially, the solvent have an obvious effect on the catalyst activity. The resulting poly(cis‐norbornene‐exo‐2,3‐dimethyl carboxylates) (PNB‐dimethyl carboxylates) show good solubility in common organic solvent and high thermal stability up to 360 °C. The glass transition temperature was detected by DMA at 331, 324, and 318 °C for acetate, propionate, and butyrate, respectively. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Recursive quadratic programming is a family of techniques developd by Bartholomew-Biggs and other authors for solving nonlinear programming problems.This paperdescribes a new method for constrained optimization which obtains its search di-rections from a quadratic programming subproblem based on the well-known aug-mented Lagrangian function.It avoids the penalty parameter to tend to infinity.We employ the Fletcher‘s exact penalty function as a merit function and the use of an approximate directional derivative of the function that avoids the need toevaluate the second order derivatives of the problem functions.We prove that thealgorithm possesses global and superlinear convergence properties.At the sametime, numerical results are reported.     

LD泵浦Nd:YVO4/LBO临界相位匹配腔内倍频瓦级绿光激光器

报道了一种光纤耦合LD泵浦Nd:YVO₄晶体、腔内Ⅰ类临界相位匹配(角度匹配)LBO倍频、瓦级输出的全固态绿光激光器的设计方法和实验结果.采用短三镜折叠腔结构,通过对热透镜焦距的估算及计算机优化设计选取合适的谐振腔参量,在8 W的泵浦功率下,获得了1.6 W绿光基模输出,光-光转换效率达20%.经测量,绿光的偏振比超过400:1,4 h功率稳定度为±1.6%.     

La0.67Pb0.33MnO3的磁性及输运特性

利用固相反应烧结法制备了La067Pb033MnO3单相多晶样品.研究了其结构、磁性及输运特性.结果表明，样品呈菱面相晶体结构，空间群为R3C，居里温度TC(=353K)非常接近TMI(=360K).在居里温度附近，发生铁磁-顺磁转变，导电特性由金属特征向半导体特征过渡.磁电阻在居里点达到极大值.当H=16T时，磁电阻的极大值为145%；当H=08T时，磁电阻的极大值为9%.输运性质表明，TTMI时 关键词： 磁电阻 输运特性 磁极化子 钙钛石

Four-wave mixing based 10-Gb/s tunable wavelength conversion in dispersion-flattened microstructure fibers

All-optical wavelength conversion of 10-Gb/s signal based on four-wave mixing is experimentally demonstrated in a 30-m-long dispersion-flattened microstructure fiber with small positive dispersion. For an average pump power of 26 dBm, the conversion efficiency was around -19.5 dB with the fluctuation less than ±1.4 dB, covering a conversion bandwidth of 20 nm. The eye diagram of the converted signal shows good eye opening.
